Desta feita a brigada da Polícia Judiciária liderada por Ana Belmonte vai investigar um estranho caso de uma jornalista de televisão envenenada, em directo, durante a apresentação do Telejornal, devido à base que utilizou na cara. No local do crime, Ana, juntamente com a sua brigada, manda recolher todas as provas, incluindo o lixo. No gabinete de maquilhagem da televisão há uma fotografia exposta na parede onde se vê um grupo. Na fotografia, Vanda, a maquilhadora, está com o braço por cima de Magda. Aparece também a irmã de Vanda que sofre de leucemia. Quintana confessa que nem com o seu charme consegue que Vanda diga alguma coisa. Durante a investigação, Ana recebe na PJ mais uma carta com uma fotografia de uma parte do seu corpo.
