In a comedy blackout, Laverne (Cher) tells Alvin (Sonny) and Herbie (regular Ted Zeigler) that she's looking for a job in show business. 2. ""The Battle Of the Sexes"" -- Cher plays a liberated working wife who upsets her husband (Sonny) when she brings her male secretary (Andy) home with her before they leave on a business trip to Acapulco. 3.
