En mai 2022, le photographe Nick Út arrive à Milan où il expose ses photos. Il transporte avec lui la photo qui l'a rendu célèbre et lui a valu le prix Pulitzer en 1973 : la célèbre Napalm Girl prise le 8 juin 1972, elle représente une petite fille qui hurle, nue et les bras tendus, fuyant un bombardement au napalm pendant la guerre du Vietnam. Cinquante ans se sont écoulés depuis ce jour et Kim Phúc, la petite fille immortalisée, est passée du statut de victime innocente à celui de militante luttant pour la paix.
