Martha und Matthew Townsend sind glücklich verheiratet und erwarten den langersehnten Nachwuchs. Da wird Martha von schrecklichen Visionen geplagt, die mit einer Gruppe mittelamerikanischer Indianer zu tun zu haben scheinen. Mit Hilfe der Psychologin Vivian findet Martha heraus, daß ihre Mutter einst mit den Indianern in Kontakt stand und ihr Vater selbst aus dieser Gruppe kommt. Dieser Teufelskult scheint eindeutig hinter Marthas noch ungeborenem Leben hinterher zu sein…
