En millionøse bliver kidnappet netop som hendes mand har besluttet at myrde hende. Følgelig nægter han at betale løsesummen og bliver i det hele taget sur over at kidnapperne ikke gør alvor af deres trussel om at myrde hende. En overgang tror politiet, at manden har myrdet konen og selv fabrikeret kidnapningshistorien. Efter mange forviklinger ender alt godt, manden bliver ligefrem glad for at få sin nu noget slankere kone igen.
